We are a leader in industrial automation solutions, is looking for a skilled Control Panel or Mechatronic Assembly Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assembling and integrating mechanical, electrical, and robotic components used in state-of-the-art automation systems.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Control Panel or Mechatronic Assembler to join our team. While experienced panel builders are preferred, we are willing to train candidates who are eager to learn and grow within our company. This position involves building custom and complex industrial control panels, wiring, and assisting with machine assembly.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components including frames, actuators, conveyors, and motion systems.
- Build and wire custom industrial control panels, sensors, relays, switches, and devices according to schematics and UL508 standards
- Perform enclosure modifications, mount components, and fabricate as needed
- Integrate robotic arms, servo drives, and automation subsystems
- Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly instructions
- Perform functional testing and basic troubleshooting, programming support, and factory acceptance testing (FAT)
- Work closely with engineering to ensure system performance and quality
- Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively
- Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
Required
- Experience in mechatronic or industrial automation assembly
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Familiarity with industrial automation (e.g. sensors, PLCs, servo drives, VFDs)
- Experience with hands tools, multimeters, and basic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to both work independently and within a team
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Able to read measurement device and work with standard and metric units of measure
- Reliable transportation
Preferred
- Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Automation, or related field
- Experience with UL508A control panel wiring
- Exposure to robotics (e.g., Fanuc, UR, Yaskawa) and automation integration
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Forklift experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, and lift throughout the day
- Regularly lift 25–50 lbs
- Comfortable working around moving mechanical parts and airborne particles
- Able to work in varying temperatures (hot and cold environments)
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including ear and eye protection
