What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gymnastics Team Coach position at Black Diamond Gymnastics and Sports Center?
Black Diamond Gymnastics is located in Park City, UT and has been home to many talented athletes, including accomplished gymnasts and world-class winter athletes since 1999. Our staff specializes in appropriately challenging each and every one of our students in a safe, positive and success-oriented learning environment.
We are currently looking for an Energetic and Committed, Competitive Artistic Coaches. Our Artistic team is growing and we need someone with excitement and experience to coach our current athletes and grow with the program.
Qualifications: Must have proven coaching experience, preferably with pre-competitive and competitive levels. Must be high energy, and excited to work with kids of all ages and with people of all personalities and nationalities – at Black Diamond Sports Centers- all are welcome.
Training/Education: This will be discussed further in an interview, but you must maintain Safe Sport and Professional Membership in good standing with USA Gymnastics. (paid for by us)
- Works with competitive program staff to make sure weekly lesson plans are progressive.
- Responsible for effective and positive communication with parents, staff and gymnasts, including leading regular meetings with parents and staff.
- Responsible for teaching competitive gymnastics.
- Provide assistance to Artistic program director.
- Maintain a safe environment at all times.
- Understand and enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
- Show enthusiasm, leadership, fairness, and fun through coaching style
- Attend training events and instructor clinics when made available
- Encourage positive social skills and appropriate behavior
What do you need to qualify?
- Must be 18 or older
- Must have 2 years of experience with competitive gymnastics and/or willingness to learn.
- Must possess proven and excellent spotting skills in all areas of tumbling and apparatus.
- The physical ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills.
- Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
