Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Event Chef to join our culinary team. As the Event Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
- Manage inventory control and ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient shift management.
- Collaborate with the front of house catering team during events, ensuring seamless execution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor food service processes to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant management industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and food service operations.
- Experience in catering services or managing dietary department needs is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts effectively while fostering a positive team environment.
- A passion for cooking with an understanding of various cuisines and dietary restrictions is highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week
