Black Fleet Brewing is seeking a reliable, personable, & detail-oriented community members to join our team!
Be the face of the Taproom & Kitchen while the brewer/leadership team is offsite. Take on the responsibility of ensuring inviting and positive customers’ experiences. You must be able and comfortable in accommodating large walk-in groups and multiple groups approaching the bar at once or within a short time, as well as stay focused and productive during slower periods. To be on this team, you need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. Hours of Role
Parttime position available.
Parttime position is approximately 5-20 hours per week with Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday shifts availability. Additional shifts available periodically.
Responsibilities
- Educate guests about flagship and seasonal brews on the menu, the difference between styles, and the history and culture of the brewery and craft beer industry
- Take and serve orders, as well as prepare and pour beverages
- Follow all required sanitation and safe serving guidelines and regulations
- Attend to customers upon entrance with friendly demeanor
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Collaborate with other servers, kitchen/bar staff, and Lead Team
- Handle complaints or problems with a positive attitude, immediately addressing the issue or bringing it to the attention of the appropriate personnel
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Maintain comfort and cleanliness throughout the bar and dining are, including restrooms and public areas
- Apply all guidelines for responsible alcohol service
- Expediting orders to appropriate patrons/tables
- Assist coworking kitchen staff, when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties and cash handling
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Excellent physical condition and stamina (able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for 6 hours or more per shift)
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
- Responsible and trustworthy
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.28 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 22 per week
