Marina Dock Crew
We are Black Hall Outfitters, located on the water in Old Lyme and Westbrook, Connecticut. We are seeking paddling and water enthusiasts to join our team.
Our summer crew is paid to spend their days on the water with smiling customers. You'll enjoy sunshine rather than working indoors. We're currently accepting applications for the 2025 summer season for our Kayak and Standup Paddleboard rental and touring programs.
College students with lifeguarding or safety swimming experience are preferred, but not mandatory. Willingness to help is essential.
You will be on the water, outside, surrounded by happy people all summer long.
Responsibilities:
- Set up Kayaks and SUP fleet for daily rentals
- Cleaning and racking Kayaks and SUPs at the end of the day
- Launching and retrieving rental customers
- Giving guidance to our customers and making them feel comfortable for their on-water outings and boat rentals
- Paddling or SUP experience is helpful, and you will also be taught the basics from our current staff and instructors
- Be friendly, enthusiastic, and eager to make new friends
Skills:
- A people person, outgoing, and happy to help our customers have the best day of their summer
- Strong Swimmer
- First-Aid/CPR Certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Any other applicable certifications should be noted in the resume (ACA, etc.)
- A fast learner and a team player who will work with a group of like-minded friends
- Physically Fit
- Socially connected and happy to help create daily posts for our social media sites featuring our happy customers
