Job Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), School Psychologist Endorsement (SPSY)
Salary and Benefits: $47,512 – $75,974 (BHASED CBA with Salary Range and Benefits); Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance. TRS position.
Overview:
- Participate on multidisciplinary teams to address referrals to inter-district programs.
- Provide individual psychological evaluations as part of initial and re-evaluations of students 3-21 (inclusive).
- Participate in and assist in the development of initial evaluation, re-evaluation and annual review conferences as appropriate.
- Provide individual and group counseling to special education students as specified in the individual education programs.
- Provide individual and group consultation to special education staff and parents.
- Maintain such records and provide such reports, as may be required/requested.
- Serve as liaison among parents, individual schools, and other agencies for children with disabilities.
- Provide mental health consultation services to students in both special and general education.
- Serve as liaison between students and their families with community mental health agencies.
- Assist district staff in the implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Support.
- Serve as a resource to district staff on academic and behavioral concerns as part of the Multi-Tiered System of Support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
