Black Hawk College seeks adjunct/part-time Instructors for the Adult Education (non-credit) Optional Education (High School Completion) program.
Mostly in person instruction at the Adult Learning Center in Rock Island, IL. Applications reviewed immediately.
Description Of Duties
Work with Optional Ed Coordinator to develop individualized educational plan for each student based on current transcript and deliver needed instruction in required subjects.
Instructor provides necessary instruction and guidance in a range of high school credit courses.
Prepare and deliver instruction based on textbooks and supporting materials. Administer standardized tests to measure progress.
Using a provided curriculum, faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate lessons and/or activities to enhance the students’ educational experience; evaluate students’ performance; and maintain classroom records, equipment, and instructional materials.
Education & Experience
Bachelors' degree required. Previous teaching experience or experience with high school learners preferred.

Masters = $30.30 per contact hour
