Black Hawk College seeks adjunct/part-time instructors for the Welding Program. Classes available at the QC Campus in Moline, East Campus in Galva, as well off campus sites.

Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024)
Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per equated hour
Master's Degree = $808.92 per equated hour
Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour

Faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; develops, and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students performance; develops, secures, and maintains the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in welding trades, ag, mechanics, industrial technology, or related field, or accredited trade/technical program completion in welding with a minimum of five years industry welding experience or no degree with eight years of industry welding experience. Experience should include Arc, Mig, Tig, Oxyacetylene Welding and Cutting. CWI or CWE preferred or ability to certify within 3 years required. Teaching experience and/or training experience preferred.
