Position summary:
The mechanic facilitates the installation, operations, and mechanical maintenance of company facilities for natural gas compression and dehydration Equipment.
Pay Range: $28.05 - $42.12 per hour (This posting includes the full pay range for this position. Pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.)
Reporting Relationship: Gas Operations Supervisor
Location: Ozark, Arkansas
Essential Functions:
* Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain structural, mechanical (such as natural gas compressors and engines, pumps, dehydration units etc.) and electrical equipment (such as ignition systems, engine shutdown controls, cooling fan controls, etc.) and/ or auxiliary equipment (such as generators, air compressors, etc.).
* Overhaul natural gas compressors, engines, motors, and auxiliary equipment.
* Perform engine/compressor performance analysis.
* Interpret lubricating oil, coolant and other operating reports.
* Perform pre-flight testing for state and federal air emissions testing of natural gas compressions units.
* Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment.
* Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork timely and accurately.
* Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirement.
* Inspect third party construction activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
* Achieve and maintain all Operator Qualifications applicable to the job classification.
* Other duties as required.
What Is Required:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years of applicable experience performing mechanic work.
What Is Desired:
* Detailed knowledge of mechanical equipment, internal combustion engines, pumps, compressors, and related equipment.
* Experience reading and interpreting piping and instrument drawings.
* Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high-pressure systems.
* Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
* Basic computer skills. (knowledge of MS office, operating systems, company software)
* Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
* Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
* Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
* Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required job schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
