Pay starting from $17 per hour depending on experience.

An Ophthalmic Technician is a versatile employee who provides technical services to patients and assists ophthalmologists or optometrists in the examination and treatment of eye disorders. Takes patient history, conducts visual acuity screenings, and performs various technical procedures including refractometry, tonometry, lensometry and keratometry. Prepares patients for exams and procedures along with patient education per the physicians’ instructions. Triage urgent calls and documenting the patients encounter in our medical records system. Operates, maintains, and sanitizes ophthalmic equipment and instruments. There are also certifications that can be achieved for further education such as Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA). A candidate must also have attention to detail, ability to multi-task and adapt to a flexible schedule which may include some day travel with a team.
