Black Hills State University is seeking applicants for a Program Assistant I position in student life.
Seeking an organized professional to provide support for general operations of the Student Life department. The successful candidate will serve as an administrative assistant to the Dean of Students.
DUTIES
- Assist the Dean of Students in all aspects of student life.
- Provide student staff supervision (hiring, training, processing ePAFs and approving timesheets).
- Manage the organization and collection of data and records.
- Coordinate and manage room reservations, facility set-ups / tear-downs with student employees, and communicate building repairs through work order system.
- Create, oversee and carry out processes for managing expenditures for purchases, budget reports, and accounts payable for the Department of Student Life.
- Assist with event planning and special projects as needed.
- Conduct other related activities at the request of the Dean of Student in service to BHSU.
- Will work in a collegial manner with patience, tact, and discretion with students, staff, faculty and administrators from varying backgrounds and temperaments.
