What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Cashier position at Black Hills Works?

Full and Part Time Availability
Hours: Primarily Monday through Friday daytime hours with full and part time positions available
Wage: $17.75
General Description of the Position:
Operates cash register at the end of food service line. Keeps required government forms and balances register at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 year or older
- Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Prior Food Service experience preferred
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Lift and/or move up to 30-50 lbs (with assistance as needed) such as cases of food items or kitchen equipment.
- Push or pull items such as kitchen carts and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain good personal hygiene and an acceptable uniform appearance.
- Report to cashier station 15 minutes prior to meal.
- Provide good customer service. Be friendly and polite.
- Complete AF Forms 79 &AF IMT 1875 as required.
- Count money, make correct change, and turn in funds and operate the point of sales system provided by the government.
- Ensure items listed in register correspond with items being served.
- Maintain adequate flow rate of customers through the serving line
- Ensure that all employees and patrons purchase all food items at the listed price.
- Perform other related duties as required.
