General Description of the Position:
The Supervisor of Community and Facility Day Services, will play a fundamental role in fostering an inclusive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities. The responsibilities will involve coordinating opportunities, ensuring participant satisfaction, and building positive relationships with stakeholders. This position will oversee a team of employees contributing to the day to day activities for the assigned location providing direction, instruction, and advice in order to achieve quality supports for the participants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience may be substituted for degree, depending on length and scope.
- One to two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Teams, Word, and Outlook; ability to quickly learn and navigate service provider systems.
- Excellent collaboration skills demonstrated through effective communication with diverse teams across various organizational levels.
- Adherence to Black Hills Works standards of performance, embodying the agency’s purpose, mission, and vision in all communication.
- Positive mindset, detail-oriented, and strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and work effectively without daily supervision.
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently, organize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Qualify as a driver under company insurance guidelines with a valid driver’s license.
- Successful completion of a qualifying criminal background check and a negative drug test.
Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise staff, ensuring accountability through onboarding, monitoring, feedback, training, and performance evaluations.
- Assess and enhance staff performance to align with organizational standards and maximize participant satisfaction.
- Cultivate positive professional relationships with stakeholders, including individuals supported, guardians, support team members, external agencies, and internal personnel.
- Collaborate with participants and support team members to assess individual preferences, strengths, and goals related to opportunities.
- Act as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting inclusivity, community integration, and positive public perception.
- Implement and oversee a comprehensive program of opportunities that align with participants' interests and goals.
- Ensure that all documentation related to participant goals, progress, and activity participation is accurately and promptly completed.
- Assure the timely and accurate completion of fee-for-service billing, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Attend annual Individual Support Plan (ISP) meetings to align volunteer and community day services with participant goals; train support staff on ISP Plan implementation.
Salary : $50,000 - $54,000
