Job Overview
Black Horse Kettle Corn, LLC is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable individuals to join our dynamic Farmers Market and Event Team. As a team member, you'll play a vital role in representing our brand at various local markets and events. You'll be involved in all aspects of our operations, from preparing and packaging our delicious products to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized booth. Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of event booth, including equipment, supplies and market booth components.
- Prepare and package kettle corn and lemonade according to company recipes and standards.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and answering their questions.
- Address guest needs and resolve any customer inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members and event coordinators to ensure seamless operations.
- Follow directions from the Market Stand Manager and company representatives.
- Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote products or services through upselling techniques to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain product knowledge.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of event space and market booth throughout the duration of the event.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support during events.
- Be willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Travel to various locations within a 2-hour radius of Montgomery County.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours.
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer, with a clean driving record is highly desirable.
- Must obtain a ServSafe Food Handler certification within 60 days of employment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow directions accurately and work efficiently.
- Must be responsible, punctual, and dependable.
- Must have a positive attitude and be respectful.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different roles, responsibilities, and event environments.
- Experience with cash handling is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to supervise others effectively when required.
