- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of current computer software and office equipment.
- Proficient in Genesis, SEMI Medicaid programs, Frontline IEP.
- Good communication skills in dealing with pupils, parents, school staff, and the public in general.
- Ability to work well with others.
Performance Responsibilities
- Compose and handle routine correspondence as directed.
- General office responsibilities, including but not limited to, mail, answering phones, scheduling meetings, email, copying, faxing, scanning, laminating, filing, internet research, assist Supervisor with various tasks.
- Keep up with federal and state laws and guidelines for Special Education.
- Maintain contact with other school districts to update information and request files or send information and files.
- Submit vouchers for supply orders.
- Prepare various logs and lists for Annual Review meetings in house and out of district, including notices to parents/students.
- Prepare/Maintain student confidential files in-house and out-of-district.
- Prepare/Maintain the Special Education students records updated with special concern for confidential reports such as Psychiatric, Socials, Psychological and Learning, these may include regular education students. Files are reviewed by Auditors.
- Research and order special needed supplies (i.e. slings, book stands, etc.).
- Set up all transportation for out of district students, MD students, ESY students, community based instruction and field trips.
- Setting up coverage for teachers. Coverage (subs) for teachers is also done for Eligibilities, Manifestations, Review/Revision and Re-evaluation meetings.
- Monitor/maintain IEP program access (Frontline IEP).
- Schedule/organize staffing information.
- Prepare/create programs/certificates for Special Education activities.
- Ensure/maintain SEMI compliance, including logs and data entry.
- Coordinate related services.
- Coordinate purchase/repair of specialized equipment (per IEP).
- Prepare/maintain confidential staff files for department.
- Organize/distribute Special Education supplies.
- Maintain confidential office and communication.
- Monitor student log-in/out of CST office.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
