Position Summary:
The Machine Operator will safely saw cut, drill, and/or operate robotic cutting equipment, ensuring quality control throughout the production process. This position involves material handling and requires a high level of attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow and close out work orders accurately.
- Safely operate machinery for structural steel processing and fabrication.
- Inspect parts and finished products for quality assurance.
- Record quality data in workbooks and submit detailed reports for each job.
- Assist in training and mentoring new employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical skills
- Blueprint reading knowledge
- Solid math skills
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions accurately
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team
