Position Summary
Iron Oak Energy Solutions is seeking a Field HR Business Partner to join their expanding Human Resources team in a challenged and growing company. The selected candidate for this position will work within a collaborative team to plan, direct, and coordinate human resources activities. To perform this job successfully, the Human Resource Business Partner will effectively partner with clients to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee relations, recruitment, policies, and regulatory compliance. The Field HR Business Partner will work in harmony with the Plant Manager and report to the Human Resources Director.
Essential Functions
- Act as a champion to the Iron Oak Energy culture and ensure the facility environment is supporting the expectations set forth by Corporate Leadership.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
- Ensure compensation, benefits and performance management systems are administered properly.
- Coordinate successful New Hire orientation including education on company culture, how the business works and policies/procedures that guide the daily lifestyle of our employees.
- Drive field-level HR administration, including collaborating with the Corporate HR team, to assist Plant Leadership in timely reporting, auditing, and reconciliation of any open items within the HR department.
- Provide routine field-level training on various HR laws and best practices and assist with implementation of new policies and procedures and regular administrative events like Open Enrollment and annual training/reviews.
- Coordinate with Plant Leadership on annual performance review process, providing counsel and guidance on the process as set forth by Corporate HR.
- Counsel Plant Leadership and employees as needed on career opportunities and personal development.
- Coach Plant Leadership on handling employee conflicts in compliance with corporate guidelines.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) or 4 years of work experience in a related field
- Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, policies, procedures, regulation or government law
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Bilingual preferred
- Full MS Office suite capability
- PHR or SPHR preferred
- Ability to travel 50% (Crane & Kermit, TX locations)
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Knowledge of HRIS, UKG is a plus
- Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task
