What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Bartender FT and PT position at Black Oak Casino Hotel?
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing beverage service to all Hotel Turnback Guests in an efficient, courteous and professional manner, displaying a high standard of guest service.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)
- Receives money, makes change, processes credit card transactions, and operates from issued cash bank all within company policy.
- Takes and delivers Guest orders.
- Provides courteous service.
- Abides by all State, Federal, and local liquor regulations pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages to Guests.
- Cooperates with multiple departments to effectively monitor and control the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages in the area where assigned.
- Stocks and cleans work area following proper sanitation controls.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent highly preferred.
- Must complete Food Handler or ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or have proof of current certification.
- Must be able to lead by example and assist Team Members on assigned shift.
- Must possess ability to communicate and follow directions effectively in English.
- Must possess ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment often doing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have ability to learn and operate point-of-sale system.
- Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Physical Demands:
- Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
