What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Maintenance Technician position at Black Oak Casino Hotel?
Summary: Responsible for maintaining and repairing furniture, equipment, fixtures, walls, minor construction, and general maintenance of Hotel property.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility, included but not limited to)
- Follows all departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Maintains and repairs Hotel equipment.
- Performs minor construction, remodeling, painting and electrical wiring.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems on Hotel equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance on Hotel equipment.
- safely operates various hand and power tools.
- Must perform mathematical calculations and read blueprints as necessary to fulfill duties.
- Completes al documentation required under Hotel policies and procedures.
- Provides professional, courteous and cordial service to all Team Members and Guests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- Prefer prior maintenance experience or equivalent educational, training, and work experience.
- Prefer to have commercial building trade or facilities/maintenance engineering experience.
- Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced atmosphere and work under pressure.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License and a Black Oak Casino driver's permit.
- Must be able to communicate using portable two-way radios and/or cell phones.
- Must be able to pass mandatory drug screen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
- Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
- Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
- Required to work at heights such as on scaffolding, ladders or platforms.
- Required to work around moving machinery with possible exposure to vibration, dust, gas, fumes, steam or chemicals.
- Required to wear protective equipment such as mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, weather gear, etc.
