Description
SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining and repairing furniture, equipment, fixtures, walls, minor construction, and general maintenance of Resort property and other associated properties.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)
Maintains and repairs furniture, plumbing equipment, fixtures, walls, etc.
Performs minor construction, painting and installation of electrical circuitry.
Performs remodeling jobs such as: sheet rock installation, custom cabinet work, table games repair and minor equipment repairs as required.
Basic understanding of liquid propane kitchen equipment preferred.
Basic understanding of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration preferred.
Sheet rock finishing and wall paper repair preferred.
Comprehension of blueprints and schematics preferred.
Performs maintenance on drainage pipes up to, and including, the clearing of clogs.
Provides professional, courteous and cordial service to all Team Members and Guests.
Safely operates various power and hand tools.
Performs duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a mechanical aptitude with prior maintenance experience.
Must have, and supply, own hand tools.
Must possess and maintain a valid California driver license and a Black Oak Casino Resort driver’s permit.
Must be able to communicate using portable 2-way radios and/or cell phones.
Must possess working knowledge of computer programs and applications.
Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
Required to work at heights such as on scaffolding, ladders or platforms.
Required to work around moving machinery with possible exposure to vibration, dust, gas, fumes, steam or chemicals.
Required to wear protective equipment such as mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, weather gear, etc.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
