Black Owl Recruiting is seeking a skilled and compassionate Part-Time Ophthalmologist to join our reputable client's dynamic team, at their a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center. The ideal candidate will provide expert surgical and clinical eye care to our diverse patient population in a highly efficient and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform outpatient ophthalmologic procedures (e.g., cataract surgery, glaucoma procedures, intravitreal injections, etc.)
- Provide pre- and post-operative evaluations and care
- Collaborate with referring optometrists and the ASC care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and ASC policies
- Participate in quality improvement and peer review processes as needed
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
- Active and unrestricted medical license in New York
- Experience in ambulatory surgical settings preferred
- Excellent surgical and diagnostic skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Schedule & Compensation:
- Flexible part-time schedule (2 days a month, 8 hours a day max)
- $150/hour
