Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine dental examinations and cleanings for children and adolescents.
- Diagnose dental issues such as cavities, gum disease, and malocclusions.
- Provide restorative dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, and extractions.
- Administer local anesthesia or sedation to patients as required.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for children with various dental needs.
- Educate patients and their families on proper dental hygiene practices.
- Work closely with orthodontists, dental hygienists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Monitor the development of children's teeth and jaws to ensure proper growth and alignment.
- Conduct emergency dental procedures for children when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry and dental technology.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program.
- Board certification in pediatric dentistry (preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Florida state dental license and CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in dealing with children and parents.
- Ability to manage pediatric patients in a calm and caring manner.
- Detail-oriented with excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children of all ages, including those with special needs.
- Knowledge of dental sedation techniques.
- Experience with the latest pediatric dental technology and tools.
Salary: $400,000 - $500,000 annually based on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
