We are seeking a HR Administrator Intern that will gain hands-on experience supporting the core operations of our People Office team. You’ll assist with day-to-day HR processes that keep our people-first initiatives running smoothly—this includes handling data entry, maintaining employee records, supporting onboarding and offboarding, and helping with compliance tasks. This internship is ideal for someone transitioning from the military and interested in exploring HR as a post-service career path.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain and update employee data in HR systems (HRIS).
- Assist with processing employment changes (new hires, transfers, terminations).
- Manage digital and physical personnel files to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Support HR reporting and audit preparation.
- Coordinate onboarding documentation and training schedules for new hires.
- Ensure completion of background checks, I-9s, and benefits enrollment.
- Facilitate offboarding tasks such as exit checklists and final documentation.
- Help ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and properly documented
- Assist with routine audits (I-9, EEO, FMLA, etc.)
- Support record-keeping related to leaves of absence and accommodations
- Provide HR support to internal stakeholders and respond to employee inquiries
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Payroll teams as needed
- Assist with HR projects and process improvement initiatives
- Active Duty Service Member approved for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Interest in human resources, business operations, or related fields
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Experience working in administrative, clerical, or personnel roles during military service is a plus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting is required.
- Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
