Black River Health has an immediate opening for a Per Diem Emergency Room Technician (ERT) / Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) in our Emergency Department. This position is based at Black River Memorial Hospital. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
The ERT/HUC provides supportive services and direct and indirect patient care. Organizes and coordinates efficient delivery of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs as part of the nursing team in non-clinical tasks and coordinates activities of the unit. This position is:
- Per Diem, 24 hours per pay period, Various Shift, includes every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation
Essential Duties:
- Provides patient care following nursing/medical orders as delegated by the RN.
- Performs and coordinates clerical activities on the unit to promote patient-focused care.
- Accurately documents and reviews orders in the electronic medical record according to established standards.
Educational Qualification:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or EMT license
- BLS certification is required within 3 months of hire
