Role summary:
We're looking for a part-time (with occassional vacation cover as and when required) a certified pharmacy technician for our Atkinson Pharmacy. This role will work under the supervision of the pharmacy manager/pharmacist. As directed, provides assistance to the pharmacist, by profiling medications and products, preparing these products for the patients and maintaining adequate inventory of stock and supplies. The employee will work in multiple areas of the pharmacy, as directed, to maintain competency and broaden skills for all areas of the job scope.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the medication preparation by selecting, counting, compounding, packaging, delivering and the labelling as per established departmental guidelines.
- Triages telephone calls in the pharmacy. Assists customers at the pharmacy counter.
- Processes patient medication and assesses pricing options through 340B, and other formulary options as determined by eligibility.
- Maintains appropriate levels of inventory in dispensing areas. This may include prepackaging or assembly of medication for future dispensing.
- Perform pharmacy inventory tasks including daily counts, spot checking counts, outdates and overstock returns.
- Obtains and documents accurate and complete patient medication histories if applicable to the position.
- Maintains appropriate levels of inventory and pricing in front end areas. This may include ordering OTC medications, snacks, CBD, etc.
Education:
- High school diploma
Skills/ Experience:
- Preferred: certified pharmacy technician qualification and or accreditation.
- One year experience working within a pharmacy environment.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
