What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at Black River Health?
POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsibilities include but are not limited to, supporting productions' quality needs through use of Romer and CMM inspection machines and various measuring tooling such as: Calipers, micrometer, height gauges and other inspection tools. The employee must process a working knowledge of drawings and computer programs needed to support the quality functional team.
Primary Accountabilities

- Component and assembled part layout in accordance to drawing
- Finished goods audit
- Line Romer for quality concerns
- Support / Engage of deviations
- Support Calibration system (inspection, test equipment, functional gages)
- Complete capability studies on critical, major and minor characteristics
- Program development in PPAP principles and practices
- Document & record data collected on inspection forms legibly
- Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations
- Assist with Housekeeping in NCM area
- Support Operations with NCMR process, inspect parts
- Follow ITAR processes when appropriate
- Assist NCM area with material handling, inventory, non-standard jobs etc.
- Perform other duties as directed by Manager
- 1-2 years' experience working in a similar position is preferred
- Quality plans and controls knowledge
- Gauging knowledge needed
- CMM knowledge preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail Oriented
- Must have the ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds
- Must have the ability to stand, sit and walk at least 75% of the time.
