Scale House Operator – Black Rock Services (Los Lunas, NM)
Objective:
The Scale House Operator collaborates with Dispatch to manage aggregate truck movements in and out of the Pit and Distribution Yard. While not directly handling production or sales, this role is vital for smooth operations. Responsibilities include checking trucks in/out, issuing tickets, and communicating with truckers, dispatch, production, safety, compliance, and billing. Strong customer interaction and awareness of visitors (e.g., vendors, MSHA, US Air Force) are key.
Requirements:
40 hours per week, including early mornings (5 AM start), late hours, and weekends as needed.
New Miner training provided (MSHA-regulated).
Bilingual preferred but not required.
Responsibilities & Skills:
Clear communication in person and over CB radio.
Professional and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
Manage multiple trucks, drivers, and aggregate orders efficiently.
First point of contact for truck movements and customer interactions.
Proficient in using a computer, phone, and radio for tracking loads, tickets, and product details.
Coordinate with administration, production, QC, and dispatch teams.
Review and report conflicts in dispatch and production schedules.
Provide feedback for schedule adjustments.
Accountability:
Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
Accurately record and manage high-volume sales data.
Effective time management and reporting of truck movements.
