ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the production and preparation of pastry items under the guidance of senior culinary staff.
- Learn and maintain hotel standards for consistency and quality across all pastry items.
- Contribute to the daily operations of the kitchen, including preparation for banquets, room service, and restaurant outlets.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper food storage practices.
- Participate in daily team meetings to align on priorities and receive guidance.
- Assist with the cleaning of kitchen areas to ensure readiness for the next day’s service.
- Support menu development by contributing ideas and assisting in the creation of seasonal pastry items.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn about food allergens and how to address guest dietary needs with care and urgency.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic culinary or pastry training from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen.
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing in the pastry arts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.
