SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- None
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quickly and kindly welcomes all customers, vendors, and team members
- Provides superior customer service at every point of interaction
- Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas
- Checks temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functionality, communicating any malfunctions immediately to the Store Lead
- Cleans and/or sanitizes work areas, utensils, or equipment, and service and customer seating areas
- Describes menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them
- Provides customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions as requested
- Serves prepared foods, such as pastries, bagels, packaged goods, etc.
- Receives and processes customer payments
- Stocks customers service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items
- Demonstrates the use of retail equipment, such as espresso machines
- Sets up or restocks product displays
- Wraps, labels, and dates food items for sale
- Be an outstanding and supportive coworker to your fellow baristas
- Other related duties as assigned

- Practices basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handline hot beverages

- Ability to self manage during down times with little or no direction
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Constant standing/walking, up to 8 hours at a time
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional ascending or descending on ladders and ramps
- Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing, or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
- Constantly receiving detailed information through oral communication
- Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
- Constant cash handling requiring mental math
- Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of verbal communication
