Job Description
Black Rock LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Blade Operator for our aggregate pit in Los Lunas. This position is responsible for operating a motor grader (blade) to build and maintain haul roads, perform site grading, and support efficient pit operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in aggregate, mining, or construction settings, with a strong focus on safety and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a motor grader (blade) to maintain roadways, slopes, and working surfaces
• Support efficient material movement and site drainage through precision grading
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance
• Assist with general pit operations as needed
• Communicate with site supervisors and equipment operators to coordinate work
• Follow all site safety protocols and company procedures

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience operating a motor grader
• Familiarity with aggregate pit, mining, or construction environments preferred
• Ability to read grades and operate equipment with accuracy
• Basic mechanical knowledge for daily inspections and troubleshooting
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in outdoor conditions
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious
• CDL or other heavy equipment certifications are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
