Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to manage and oversee inventory processes at a contractor site. This role involves handling a high-volume, small-part inventory, ensuring accurate tracking, and optimizing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with large data sets, and a continuous improvement mindset.
In this role, you will be responsible for tracking and labeling materials used by contractors for running WiFi cables and burying fiber. This includes splitters, construction materials, vaults (protecting electrical wiring), markers, and other related equipment. Inventory management will take place at a contractor site, not a client warehouse. Some sites may have small warehouses with limited dock doors, while others consist of buildings on a lot.
Shift: 1st Shift — 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper placement of materials.
- Track, verify, and audit stock information, including unit identification numbers.
- Unpackage, sort, and stage units for production.
- Conduct cycle counts and audits per company policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of inventory on-site.
- Assist in implementing process improvements for better inventory control.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize workflow and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
- Basic computer skills, including Excel, are a plus.
- Opportunity for contract extension or conversion based on performance.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.07 - $21.13 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
