POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Billing Coordinator contributes to the strategic expansion of our organization. This is an exciting new position within the organization and is responsible for coordinating medical billing doulas, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), Community Supports (CS), and Community Health Workers (CHWs) and other billable services. This is a full-spectrum position that requires functional, technical, and administrative responsibilities.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILIES

EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent. 2-year degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of direct OB/GYN billing and coding experience. For the right internal candidate, BWPC will provide on-the-job training. Requires completion of an accredited training program within four months of reassignment. Requires a written agreement to work for BWPC for a minimum of two years at BWPCs discretion.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required: Certification as Certified Professional Biller (CPB)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Billing Coordinator contributes to the strategic expansion of our organization. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILIES
- Establishes & maintains billing/coding processes and workflows
- Utilize available encoder, grouper software, and other coding resources to determine the appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and/or HCPCS including specialty specific codes and Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes
- Monitors and reviews all medical records to ensure medical coding accuracy, including proper completion and documentation of rendering signatures
- Notifies rendering providers of missing information and follows up accordingly
- Assesses encounter documentation using Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) documentation standards. Based on the provider's documentation, identify possible documentation changes that would more accurately account for services provided if implemented
- Resolve payer denials and respond to inquiries from revenue cycle teams, processing charge corrections as appropriate
- Driving required
