Job Description
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our physicians and patients. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, preparing examination rooms, and performing various clerical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Patient Data Management: Record and maintain patient medical data accurately and efficiently, adhering to organizational standards and compliance guidelines.
- Equipment and Inventory Management: Maintain equipment and inventory levels, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing waste.
- Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, promoting open and respectful dialogue.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform various clerical tasks, including scheduling appointments, processing paperwork, and managing supplies.
Requirements
- Certification: Current MA Certification and AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; preferred completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Experience: Basic knowledge of coding and medical systems; preferred two years of experience in Medical Assisting.
