What are the responsibilities and job description for the HUB Retail Associate position at Blackberry?
The Retail Sales Associate focuses on creating an outstanding customer experience by creating a positive, inviting, and fun environment for the client. This includes developing enthusiastic and knowledgeable sales professionals that understand the client, product presentation, and shop standards. The role requires a creative, guest-centric approach coupled with an acute business acumen.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Strong focus on driving sales and delivering refined customer service
- Develop strategies and plans to achieve sales results through superior customer service and store events
- Maintains up-to-date product knowledge, shop standards, policy and procedure updates, and upcoming promotions and events
- Ensure a consistent, quality experience for customers
- Ability to create custom gift assortments to accommodate guest needs
- Resolve customer issues with outstanding service and diplomatic skills
- Apply strategic thinking and personal ownership to foster guest and homeowner relations
- Review product selling, identify replenishment needs, and maintain product assortment
- Work with buyer and marketing to determine website, newsletter, and e-marketing of product
- Maintain open lines of communication with the team and Director and participate in weekly Shop meetings
- Consistently implement the company visual presentation and merchandising standards
- Be able to work unsupervised in absence of manager or supervisor: take ownership of shop and merchandise, stay on task, take initiative to see what needs to be done in the shop or in storage areas
- Assist with monthly inventory of shops, storage areas, and satellite retail locations
- Provide product feedback and suggestions to buyer based on guest wants, needs, and suggestions
- Maintains merchandise and shop including restocking, receiving, shipping, and organizing
- Assist with guests needs throughout the Hub facilities
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in customer service or retail
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Must be capable of learning new computer software programs quickly
- Have solid computer and various software knowledge: POS, Inventory systems, Excel, Word, Outlook
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and managers
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Basic math skills
REASONING ABILITY
- Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
