The NewCo is advancing novel approaches to treat this complex psychiatric disorder by harnessing the power of new neurobiological and clinical insights. Role Summary: We seek a strategic and experienced Vice President of Program Management to lead the execution of the NewCo’s preclinical programs. The ideal candidate possesses deep professional experience in biotech or pharma settings, with specialized expertise in neurological drug discovery, emphasizing small molecule research and development strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage cross-functional program teams, developing and executing strategic plans to achieve program goals. Ensure alignment with company objectives and drive decision-making processes.
- Program Oversight: Oversee the development and execution of program strategies, timelines, budgets, and resource planning. Ensure high-quality and high-integrity data generation to support company-level decisions.
- Risk Management: Identify potential bottlenecks and risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to ensure program success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary spokesperson for program initiatives, representing the program internally and externally to stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence: Drive the team towards innovative solutions, challenge assumptions, and promote out-of-box thinking to enhance program value.
- Communication: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date program information within internal systems and databases. Ensure effective communication with senior management.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in neuroscience, biology, pharmacology, or related field; Ph.D. preferred
- 10 years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- 5 years of cross-functional leadership experience in program management.
- Proven track record of leading preclinical program initiatives and navigating regulatory processes.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
