BCS is seeking a dynamic Tax Supervisor and / or Manager to join our growing Tax practice in Johnson City. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the most respected Regional Firms.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to) :
- Manage and mentor members of Tax teams to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement
- Review and manage tax engagements
- Assume full responsibility for directing large engagements and special assignments
- Supervise the assignment of duties to, and the training of, staff and senior accountants assigned to engagements
- Monitor and manage time budgets for the office
- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the Tax process
- Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency
- Demonstrate an understanding of business issues relating to complex transactions
- Work and communicate effectively with clients to enhance their understanding of business and tax issues
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to the tax team
- Review and correspond with the IRS and Department of Revenue as it relates to audits and notifications.
- Demonstrate an awareness of firm software packages and the ability to use such software effectively and efficiently
