What a Blackeagle Assistant Project Manager (APM) can expect to do:
- Act as an assistant to the Division Manager and Project Manager.
- Manage construction projects through completion to include estimating, scheduling, resource allocation, material procurement, contract change management, and project cost analysis.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate and communicate project status to Division Manager.
- Maintain project costs, schedule, profitability, safety, quality, and documentation to ensure client satisfaction within project requirements.
- Ensure projects are completed in a manner consistent with the project guidelines and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Serve as client’s point of contact for assigned projects.

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Clearly understands and defines the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
- Assist in the creation of a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Learn how to determine the resources (time, money, equipment, and subs) required to complete the project.
- Assist in the development of a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
- Implement and execute the safety plan for the project.
- Work with Superintendents and Project Coordinators as needed for multiple projects within the division.
- Monitor project employees according to the established policies and practices of Blackeagle.
- Ensure all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the project.
- Assist in the execution of the project according to the project plan.
- Document and track project activities including billable work and change orders.
- Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of project management experience
- Natural Gas Utilities, Oil and Gas Pipeline and Facilities exposure
- Municipal Work management experience (pumps stations, water main replacement projects, water treatment plant upgrades, and wastewater treatment upgrades)
- Competent knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT as applicable to construction industry
- Professional, proven ability to partner with all employees from executive team to field laborers
- Ability to successfully work with subcontractors and vendors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with B2W Estimate, B2W Track and Vista preferred
- Clean driving record
COMPENSATION RANGE
- $70,000 - $90,000
- Vehicle and fuel allowance
- Bonus potential
The expected compensation range is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based on factors such as education, experience, and other qualifications.
