IT Manufacturing Systems Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manufacturing Systems Architect. This role is critical in shaping the manufacturing IT strategy, designing and implementing solutions that enhance scalability, security, and efficiency across enterprise-wide manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage end-to-end IT architecture for manufacturing plants, including IT-OT systems, security, shop floor connectivity, and enterprise integration.
- Align manufacturing IT architecture with corporate IT strategy in collaboration with the Enterprise Architect.
- Develop and maintain current and future state architecture documentation.
- Lead digital manufacturing initiatives focused on IIoT, Industry 4.0, and AI/ML solutions.
- Manage proof of concept projects, evaluating emerging technologies and vendors.
- Translate business requirements into scalable architectural solutions in collaboration with senior leadership and SMEs.
- Oversee cross-domain manufacturing IT initiatives, resolving inter-project architectural challenges.
- Drive Manufacturing IT governance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with industry standards.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master s preferred).
- 7 years of experience as an IT Manufacturing Systems Architect.
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing IT systems.
- 5 years implementing SCADA & PLC platforms.
- Proven experience with IT-OT integration, OT cybersecurity, and IIoT implementations.
- Strong background in MES & ERP system integration.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
- Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), virtualization, and application modernization.
- Working knowledge of EA tools (System Architect, Troux, or similar).
- Experience working with C-level executives, presenting technical solutions, and building business cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive consensus on architecture decisions.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and lead digital transformation efforts.
