Senior Automation Engineer (DeltaV/Syncade) | Raleigh, North Carolina | Staff Hire Role
This is an on-site role
Due to continued growth, one of our key biopharma manufacturing partners in Raleigh, NC is seeking to hire a Mid or Senior Level Automation Engineer to support site operations and capital projects within DeltaV & Syncade MES. Reporting to the Automation Manager, this role delivers new equipment/processes to site standards (GAMP/FDA), collaborates in system design to URS & FSD, and ensures system installation, qualification, and operation on-site.
Example Responsibilities
- Engage in large capital projects, full life-cycle design to completion (greenfield/brownfield).
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with local & global standards.
- Define requirements and establish agreements with external suppliers.
- Develop and execute plans to improve process control systems.
- Assist in overall system maintenance and system enhancements.
- Maintain automation standards, specifications, and maintenance protocols.
- Support audits and inspections as a subject matter expert.
- Train and mentor colleagues in relevant technical areas.
Requirements:
- Solid background in Emerson DeltaV & Syncade MES system. Data historians, SCADA, SAP, SQl, Oracle a bonus.
- Strong experience in cGMP manufacturing, utilities, or packaging.
- Proven track record of hands-on automation engineering experience.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to translate strategy into action.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience with warehouse automation (AGVs, AMRs).
