About the Role
The purpose of this job is to provide investor relations and marketing support to the Equity Team. This position improves upon the relationship between Blackford’s Leadership Team and portfolio companies, with that of its current and prospective Limited Partners through the release of information, fielding and resolving inquires, distributing a steady cadence of Limited Partner and public communication, and acting as a supporting voice of the Limited Partners.
Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact for limited partners.
- Actively build upon limited partner relationships, with regular communication touch-points, drafting general communications, providing timely responses to day-to-day limited partner inquiries, personalized outreach, and onboarding initiatives, etc., with direction from Investor Relations Managing Director.
- Assist the Investor Relations Managing Director in the creation of presentation materials and emails, pitch decks, and other essential limited partner documentation regarding investments and investment opportunities; Record and maintain all investment documentation accurately.
- Execute on investor communication protocols; assisting in the timely and accurate preparation, distribution, and tracking of investor materials including financial reports, portfolio company quarterly performance reports, limited partner conference call materials, capital call notices and documentation, and distribution / return of capital documentation.
- Assist in the preparations and execution of capital calls and in efforts regarding other investor relations strategies, including targeting and outreach initiatives.
- Maintain and organize quantitative responses to diligence requests, ensuring consistency of information delivered throughout each capital raise.
- Assist with the day-to-day tracking of personal client information and communication, including investment totals, unit transfers, accreditation status, NDAs, etc., ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date, in addition to training and supporting team members in effectively utilizing the system.
- Prepare reporting, agendas, and other materials for all Investor Relations, Equity and Fundraise meetings, recording, subsequently distributing meeting minutes, and coordinating with the Investor Relations Assistant on all follow-up initiatives to ensure action items are completed.
- Manage the Investor Relations Junior Analyst program with support from the Investor Relations Managing Director.
- Draft and distribute press releases related to firm news, investment activities, and other key milestones. Work with marketing firm to ensure positive coverage and maintain relationships with journalists and industry publications.
- Collaborate with the investment team to create and maintain investor-facing materials, such as teasers, investor decks, and presentations. Ensure that all materials align with the firm’s brand and investment strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
Required Skills
2 – 3 years in Investor Relations, Marketing, or Communications, preferable in Private Equity of Financial Services
