POSITION SUMMARY:
Blackhawk Country Club is seeking experienced Bartenders to join our team. This flexible position involves working at any of the six bars located within Blackhawk Country Club. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of bartending experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and crafting high-quality cocktails. While prior country club experience is a plus, it is not required. Experience with craft cocktails is highly desirable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Provide friendly and efficient service to members and guests at the bar
· Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including craft cocktails, in accordance with established recipes and standards
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including bar tops, glassware, and equipment.
· Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and deal appropriately with intoxicated guests.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations
· Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly
· Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
· Collaborate with other bar staff and kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.
· Uphold the club's standards of professionalism, hospitality, and member satisfaction.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
· Requires at least 2 years of closely related bartending experience, work experience in high volume dining restaurant environment preferred
· Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
· Requires knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits as well as their preparation and presentation keeping updated on new and revised beverage recipes
· Strong hospitality skills with the ability to interact with Members, Guests and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
· Ability to secure Serve Safe certification
· RBS certification is a plus

· Vision: Clear vision and ability to read written documents, computer screens, and equipment displays are essential for reviewing reports, analyzing data, and assessing operations.
· Hearing: Good hearing ability is necessary for effective communication with staff, members, guests, and vendors.
· Stamina: Must be able to work for up to 5-6 hours in a fast-paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Indoor/Outdoor Setting: Indoor Bars across the property as well as some outdoor portable bars.
· Temperature: The work environment may vary in temperature, depending on the location and season. It may include both heated and air-conditioned areas.
· Noise Level: The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve moderate to high levels of noise from a full dining room or a large Ballroom event.
· Pressure: The role often involves working under pressure, especially during busy shifts in the dining room or large ballroom events
· Interaction: Regular interaction with staff, guests, vendors, and other department heads is common, requiring effective communication, interpersonal skills, and diplomacy.
· Safety: Adherence to health and safety protocols, including following: Responsible beverage service, proper broken glass procedures, proper garnish cutting procedures, verbal safety communication such as “corner” or “behind”.
