Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Junior Tennis Coach to assist in our kids' clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tennis fundamentals and a desire to work with children of various skill levels. This role involves teaching basic techniques, executing drills and games, and ensuring a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in coaching and instructing children (ages 5-14) in tennis fundamentals.
- Set up and manage drills, games, and activities to enhance skill development.
- Provide positive reinforcement and motivation to young athletes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
- Maintain a fun and engaging learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and other coaching staff.
- Assist in organizing events, tournaments, and progress assessments.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Previous coaching in tennis preferred.
- Previous playing experience in tennis required.
- Passion for working with children and fostering a positive learning experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Background check required.
