Position Summary
The Assistant Golf Professional will focus on overseeing our Ladies Golf Program, Golf Instruction, and providing excellent daily service to members and guests. This position, supervised by the Head Golf Professional will be responsible for running all ladies’ events, and helping guide our ladies’ program with creative ideas and member involvement. This position will provide professional instruction including private golf lessons, group clinics, junior camps/clinics, and assist with the marketing of new and existing player development programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Design and implement innovative and engaging ladies' golf programs and events that cater to golfers of all skill levels.
- Provide high-quality golf lessons and clinics specifically tailored to women, focusing on skill improvement and enjoyment of the game.
- Organize and oversee ladies' golf tournaments, leagues, and special events, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere to encourage women's participation in golf, building a strong community of female golfers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, provide assistance and guidance to members and their guests.
- Work with the Marketing department to promote ladies' golf programs, lessons, and events through marketing initiatives and social media to attract and retain participants.
- Stay updated on the latest golf trends, techniques, and teaching methods to enhance your coaching skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Previous experience in a private country club setting
- LPGA or PGA Certification or equivalent professional golf teaching certification.
- Proven experience in golf instruction and program development, particularly with female golfers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for promoting and growing women's golf.
- Excellent organizational and event management abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
