What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cloud Operations Engineer position at Blackhawk Enterprise?
This is a new contract, and the team is just developing. It's a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a new team using the latest tech in an infrastructure-as-code environment.
This position is a Cloud Operations Engineer. Responsible for fulfilling Tier 1-3 Tenant requests to include provisioning Tenant VPCs, configuring roles, and addressing tenant access requests. Experience in an AWS environment is required.
A successful candidate possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Required Experience:
3 years’ experience implementing security principles and administering IT systems.
3 years experience with programming, scripting, or markup languages, that may include golang, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Python, XML, JSON, or YAML.
1 year experience with provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using tools such as terraform
3 years experience with Linux operating systems, containers, AWS, monitoring network availability and performing necessary maintenance to support network availability and network security measures.
Active TS clearance with SCI Eligibility
Compliance with DoDD 8570.01-M IA certifications; IAT Level II baseline and computing environment certifications such as Security and an AWS certification within 30 days of start
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related area of study; 6 years of experience administering IT systems may substitute for academic degree
