SUMMARY: Senior Tool Crib Installer installs barcoded product storage systems and the initial products order, training the Customer to scan and submit their replenishment orders for these products at the Customer’s location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associates consistent with Core Behaviors.
- Responsible for promoting culture of safety.
- Subject matter expert on barcode scanners, mobile order processing apps and the process of using them to create replenishment orders that are uploaded to BHID.com
- Organization of existing Customer inventory into newly installed product storage systems.
- Advance communication and research with Customer at location of future installation to coordinate needed storage equipment and initial products to be sold to the Customer as a part of the installation as well as to schedule installation appointment.
- Training of Customer at location of installation to use barcode scanners, mobile order processing apps and BHID.com to submit their replenishment orders.
- Crawling existing Customer stockroom(s) or tool crib(s) to find, organize and label with BlackHawk barcodes to facilitate future replenishment ordering by the Customer at the location.
- Working with group of fellow Senior Tool Crib Installers to schedule and manage installations to be completed.
- Follow-up with Customer after installation.
- Receive and manage future communications from Customer after installation including assisting with technical issues, product questions or other service related support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of and proficient use of ERP system.
- Knowledge of industry standard product storage systems including their assembly and functionality.
- High product category familiarity with industrial fasteners and fittings, and hydraulic hoses and fittings.
- Subject matter expert on daily customer managed inventory processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, shift gears to respond to urgent scenarios and meet deadlines and goals.
- Exhibit the BHID Core Values to work well with others, contribute to the team and to work with customers, suppliers and other BHID personnel.
- Proficient in and comfortable with basic computer operation and have an ability to learn new software programs as a user.
- Comfortable with and adept at managing frequent and regular travel including booking flights, lodgings, rental cars, etc.
- Frequent and regular travel a minimum of two weeks in any given month and for up to a week each time.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills including in-person, on a phone call, via email or instant messaging/text messaging.
- Excellent critical thinking skills to analyze and solve problems autonomously.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- No direct supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in related fields preferred.
- Experience in customer service preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Somewhat disagreeable working conditions due to exposure to elements to the extent of being objectionable. May be exposed to one element continuously or several elements occasionally, but usually not at the same time. Elements may include loud sounds, dirty surroundings, and heavy lifting.
- Schedule involves frequent changes or includes some weekends and evenings.
- Employee is regularly required to speak and hear English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, at times for extended periods of time.
- Employee is required to use computer and other equipment.
- Employee frequently lifts, pulls, pushes or otherwise shifts or moves up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.
