We are seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer to join our Technology organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director of InfoSec, you will lead critical security initiatives to protect our systems' integrity, confidentiality, and availability. This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and collaboration across teams to address complex security challenges and drive innovation.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Application Security: Embed security into the SDLC, establish secure coding practices, and protect APIs, services, and microservices.
- Cloud Security: Architect and maintain secure AWS environments leveraging tools like GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and Macie.
- Risk Management: Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Automation & Engineering: Automate security tasks using "security as code" pipelines and AWS-native tools.
- Incident Response: Lead investigations, mitigate risks, and refine response procedures for rapid action.
- Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers and partner with cross-functional teams to elevate security standards.
What You’ll Bring (Qualifications) :
- Expertise in Cloud Security: Strong AWS knowledge (e.g., IAM, Lambda, S3, VPC) and experience with security automation.
- Hands-on Experience: Proficiency in tools like SAST, DAST, and vulnerability scanners, plus secure coding skills (e.g., Python, Java).
- Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor teams, communicate effectively, and align security priorities with business objectives.
- Certifications & Knowledge: CISSP, CISM, or similar preferred; familiarity with frameworks like NIST and OWASP.
- Experience: 7 years in security engineering, cloud security, or related fields.
