Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Node.js, GraphQL, React, and modern frontend technologies to build scalable, performant, and user-centric applications. The role will involve working on both the frontend and backend, taking ownership of key technical decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient full-stack web applications using Node.js, React, and GraphQL.
• Build and optimize APIs to support frontend functionality and integrate with various data sources.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement seamless, responsive, and highly performant user interfaces.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high code quality standards are maintained.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Node.js, GraphQL, React, and modern frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
• Experience with Java is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Adobe stack, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and provide effective solutions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 4 years of experience in full-stack web development.

Benefits

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $115,800.00 to $156,340.00

Salary Range for Illinois Residents Only: $89,620.00 to $121,000.00

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays in the year 2025, 1 hour of sick pay accrual for every 30 hours worked, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
