Job Position: Assistant Estimator
Position/Job Summary:
To effectively assist in bidding, selling, and designing installation/maintenance projects while displaying a great attitude and work ethic to ensure client satisfaction.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Arrive at the office on time every day
- Meet with new and existing clients as needed to assist with bids
- Help measure properties and project sites
- Assist in estimating materials, labor, equipment, and other functions necessary to perform work
- Work with existing bid templates and computer programs to aid the designer and estimator in projects
- Perform take-offs and measurements on computer
- Work with division managers to ensure all aspects of a project are complete
- Effectively help bid, estimate, budget, and track costs of a project
- Meet with estimators and project managers of General Contractors on a regular basis
- Routinely follow up on submitted bids
- Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism while working with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
Requirements:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- College degree in Horticulture is preferred, but not required
- Valid drivers license, pass drug test and criminal background check
- Experience in Microsoft Office required
- Ability to effectively navigate a computer system and other technology required
