The Quality Engineer supports our manufacturing operations to enable success as we manufacture products for our customers worldwide. Support circuit board manufacturing all the way though to manufacturing and service, the Manufacturing Quality Engineer is focused on improvements to other operational disciplines to drive sustainable improvements across multiple product lines and processes.

The Quality Engineer supports our manufacturing operations to enable success as we manufacture products for our customers worldwide. Support circuit board manufacturing all the way though to manufacturing and service, the Manufacturing Quality Engineer is focused on improvements to other operational disciplines to drive sustainable improvements across multiple product lines and processes.
Data Skills/Qualifications/Education:
- Exceptional familiarity with industry quality acceptance standards and best practices
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Familiar with quality tools like SPC, Gage R&R, DOE, PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D etc
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing
- Well-versed with MS Office suite
- Experience with gas detection, PCBA manufacturing, injection molding, or metalwork are all assets
- Familiarity with CAD systems (ie. SolidWorks) is an asset
- Familiarity with ERP systems (ie. NetSuite) is an asset
- Six Sigma accreditation and experience in Lean Manufacturing are assets
- Data acquisition and analysis experience using databases is an asset
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to monitor internal yield and aid in internal improvement projects
- Monitor manufacturing processes to detect deviations from standard and quality issues
- Collect and analyze data related to process performance and quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures and standards to ensure product consistency and reliability
- Investigate and identify root cause for quality issues and develop corrective and preventive action plans
- Interface with Product Development to ensure new product quality meets internal requirements, and to qualify new suppliers and components
- Lead cross-functional investigations into product & process defects
- Utilize various quality tools to collect, analyze, and identify root-cause(s) of non-conformances and propose solutions
- Perform process audits
- Develop control plans
- Participate in change management reviews and perform change management audits
- Review, accept/reject test set data and suitability
