Investment Banking Associate - M&A Healthcare
A prestigious investment bank is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join its M&A Healthcare team. The successful candidate will work on a range of M&A transactions, advising clients across various healthcare sectors, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, healthcare services, and healthcare technology.
Location is open to; Minneapolis, NYC, San Francisco, Boston and Charlotte.
Key Responsibilities:
- M&A Transaction Execution: Lead the execution of M&A transactions, including financial modeling, due diligence, preparation of presentations, and negotiation of terms.
- Financial Analysis & Valuation: Perform comprehensive financial analysis and build detailed financial models such as DCF, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis.
- Client Management: Support the development and maintenance of relationships with healthcare clients, advising them on M&A strategies and opportunities.
- Market Research & Industry Analysis: Conduct industry research and analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and strategic opportunities within the healthcare sector.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and supervise junior analysts, offering guidance and ensuring project delivery.
- Pitch Preparation: Assist in the preparation of client presentations, pitch materials, and marketing documents to support business development efforts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior bankers, legal teams, and other professionals to ensure the smooth execution of transactions and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on M&A or healthcare-related transactions.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with an ability to conduct detailed financial analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior bankers, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- A demonstrated understanding of the healthcare industry, including trends, regulations, and key players.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Salary : $175,000 - $225,000
